National Trust - Ickwortk Estate
Essex truly blessed us with a taste of summer over the weekend. With the sun shining bright, I couldn't resist the call of the outdoors, and one spot that beckoned me was the breathtaking National Trust Estate Ickorth.
Choosing to hop on my motorcycle, I embarked on a journey to embrace the glorious weather.
Arriving at the estate, I found it buzzing with life. Families, friends, and solo adventurers alike revelled in the warmth of the sun, surrounded by the lush greenery of the British countryside. It was like stepping into a painting, with the estate's rich history adding an extra layer of allure.
My heartfelt thanks go out to the National Trust and its dedicated volunteers, who make these experiences possible. Each room felt like a treasure trove of stories waiting to be uncovered. Everywhere I turned, there was a warm greeting and a fountain of knowledge. Whether it was a piece of art, a vintage furniture piece, or a unique artefact, there was always someone eager to share insights and tales.
Highlights of my visit included the beautifully bound books, the vibrant wall colours, and a captivating sculpture with a fascinating backstory of being paid for twice—adding another fascinating layer to the estate's history.
It was truly an unforgettable day, filled with delightful experiences. I'm grateful for the memories and eagerly anticipate the chance to revisit someday. Huge thanks for the incredible time!
