London trip, again
Photography is my hobby and my passion, anyone that read a post on this blog, kinda knows that…
I cannot allow myself at any time to leave the lovely Saffron Walden without my trusty camera. How can I? Especially when I leave for a few hours or days, I wouldn't like to miss the chance to photoghrap a nice landscape or an event!
A few weeks back, Simona, a high school colleague, visited the UK, more particularly, London. She kindly invited me for a catch-up.
I gladly accepted, and there I was on the train, on that nice Sunday day. The weather was so good! The sun was up, its rays were warming everything in their path, and the cold was somehow numbed for a while. Not many clouds in the sky, what can I say? Glorious!
I was witnessing this amazing weather from the train’s window, which started moving towards Liverpool Street. Much easier to go to London by train! Who wants to get lost in traffic and struggle with parking? Definitely not me!
I must admit, I don’t quite like big cities, big crowds, but this is changing slightly. The more I visit London, the more I want to go again!
I have arrived at the hotel where Simona and her family were staying. To get here I was changing the train for the tube and that tube for another tube (I am getting better at it, and oh I love it!).
After a short discussion I have accepted their invitation to join them for a nice cup of coffee. We went to one of the local coffee shops, which name is evading me right now…
We left the coffee shop, and as we were going back to the hotel, we took some pictures on the way. Back at the hotel, some of their friends joined for a chat in the hotel's reception.
After that, we went for a nice walk in Holland Park, as it was quite close and… have I mentioned that the weather was amazing?
I took some more pictures of Simona, her lovely daughter Safira, and their friend Eugenia. Also of this cute squirrel that was curious about our whereabouts. After about an hour of walking we went back to the hotel.
Talked a bit more and because the evening was getting closer, I left for the tube.
Such a nice day that was. Thank you for the invitation, Simona, it was so nice to catch up with you, to spend these amazing hours with you, your lovely family, and your nice friends.
Until next time!
