Not from the archives
Enough is enough. It was about time to get out there and take some new pictures instead of browsing the archives. I needed to remind myself how my camera works and check if it’s still in working order.
I booked a day off on Friday, packed the camera, and took out the bike. The bike and the camera are going well together. I didn't go too far, just followed the winding roads to the Chishill Windmill. I will go there again some clear summer night, I would like to capture the windmill with the starry sky above. I spent some time there and took few shots. The clouds and the light were quite beautiful. A nice day for photographs.
On Saturday morning, I woke up way too early. So early that I decided I had plenty of time to capture the sunrise at Thaxted's Windmill after I'll enjoy my coffee! Yeah! That early. Had the coffee, took the car and was at the windmill just after 6 am. Plenty of time to capture that sunrise.
I set up the tripod, camera and waited. A few clouds in the sky, I was expecting a spectacular sunrise, it wasn't that spectacular, some other day, maybe. I packed the gear away and drove home. Two days out, two windmills.
